My research has consistently centred on displaced populations. What has changed is the lens through which I study them. I began in Population Sciences, examining migration patterns, refugee communities, and the broader conditions shaping forced displacement. During my master’s, I shifted towards the systems surrounding migration, including human trafficking, organised crime, security, and migration governance. My PhD in Psychology brought the focus closer to a critical point within those systems: the asylum interview. Across these different levels of analysis, the goal has remained the same: to make the systems affecting displaced people fairer and more accurate.
